SMATHERS BEACH
The largest beach in Key West. Offers several restroom stations, and various watersports offered by rentals from local vendors. Public paid along the street. Food trailers also onsite for refreshments and food.
SIMONTON ST BEACH
Smallest beach on the island, located on the Gulf of Mexico side of Key West, offers cottage beachside food and drinks at Lagerheads Beach Bar. Offers umbrella and lounge chair rentals.
FORT ZACHARY HISTORIC STATE BEACH PARK
The expansive island beach park covering a total of 87 acres is a National Landmark that played a significant role in the early history of Florida. The fort, built in 1845, served as an important Union outpost in the Civil War. The Fort was again used during The Spanish American War.- The west side of the park is ideal for fishing
- Shaded picnic areas are available as well as tables, BBQ's, outdoor showers and restroom facilities
- Guided tours of the fort are available daily
- Beach chair and Umbrella rentals, as well as snorkel gear
- Onsite restaurant for sandwiches and soft drinks.
